Dr. Kaptan received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Istanbul University, Turkey, then from Iowa State University. He was a research assistant for five years at Istanbul University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kaptan has a master's degree and PhD coursework from Istanbul University, Institute of Medical Science.
Dr. Kaptan worked in the Emergency and ICU departments of MedVet-CVES Hospital in Columbus, Ohio for three years. While in Columbus he volunteered for the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association-Rural Area Veterinary Services Spay Neuter Program. Dr. Kaptan's major interest areas are Internal Medicine, Dermatology, and Critical Care. He is very enthusiastic about his work and is a strong believer in providing quality medicine. He joined County Animal Hospital in 2007. Dr. Kaptan is a member of AVMA.
